18th (on Sunday) - 2pm – Ned Kelly Associations. There are many people interred at the Brighton General Cemetery whose lives were interwoven with Ned Kelly. On this walk, we will visit their graves to tell their stories including the Sherriff of Victoria who signed Ned’s Death Warrant. As Ned is still making news about where his remains are to be placed, this will be an interesting walk about little known facts relating to his life.
- APR 2012
21st (on Saturday) - 2pm – ANZAC Day Walk. On this Walk, we visit the Graves of young Australians who took part in the bloody battles in Egypt, Gallipoli and France in the 1914-1918 War. They fought for King and Country. Today, we honour them by telling their stories of lives cut short, and those who died due to the injuries they received. LEST WE FORGET.
- MAY 2012
20th (on Sunday) - 2pm – Law Week – “Elements Of the Law”. This Walk features different elements of the Law including George Higginbotham, Barristers and the Chief Commissioner of Insolvent Estates, who were part of the legal System. Also people, who through the way they died, were involved in the legal System by way of Autopsy. This walk produces mixed emotions, pride in the men who helped shape our legal system, and sadness for the people who died prematurely through murder and accidents.
